When I drop a list of prospect names + companies + LinkedIn URLs into a Google Sheet labeled "prospect research," for each prospect: research their last 60 days of public activity (LinkedIn posts, podcast appearances, news mentions, company press releases). Identify any signal that creates a credible "why now" reason to reach out — role change, funding round, public mention of a pain point relevant to my product, hiring activity in adjacent roles. Output to a new column: a 1-sentence "why now" + the source link. If no credible signal exists in 60 days, mark "no signal — deprioritize" rather than fabricating one.
